MONTGOMERY, AL (WBRC)- The Alabama Department of Public Safety released their report on holiday traffic on Friday morning.

According to troopers, 13 fatal accidents occurred and resulted in 14 traffic deaths. The accidents happened in Lamar, Mobile, Walker, Pickens, Etowah, Madison, Marshall, Calhoun, Butler, DeKalb, Monroe, Blount and Chambers counties. Two motorcyclists and one pedestrian were counted among the deaths. The report states that 11 of the 14 victims had access to seatbelts, but only two were wearing them at the time of their accidents.

Last year in the same time period, the Department of Public Safety worked 17 fatalities.
