Tips for Tornado Relief Volunteers

Number one volunteer tip is to be willing to go with the flow.

Because there are so many people and communities that have been impacted by this disaster everything is a work in progress. So please be patient and kind with the volunteer clearing houses they are getting assignments and passing them along as fast as they can.

The best thing to do to find a volunteer opportunity is to  follow several different organizations like Hands on Birmingham, Christian Service Mission, The Red Cross, and the United Way on the web or Facebook and as they announce an opportunity jump in. If the opportunity fills up don't worry there will be many more opportunities.

Everyone wants to go to ground zero to help out however authorities are limiting the number of people that can be in these areas at one time.
