Gulf storm possible late next week

Gulf storm possible late next week

Earlier today, when I was putting the forecast together for Good Day Alabama, I caught a glimpse of some rough looking Model output. The midnight run of the Global Forecast System showed a major tropical system impacting the Gulf Coast late next week.  The model suggests a strengthening tropical cyclone entering the southern Gulf and tracking north. This may be the models solution for Investigation_97 and I’m sure the details on the evolution of this system will change. There are several factors that will come into play over the coming days including the interaction with several Islands. Once again this is just model output we wanted to share and let us remind you that the weather this weekend should be quite seasonal along the Gulf Coast.
